Cyclone Gonu

Cyclone Gonu was pretty scary, we didn’t know what to expect. The announcement aired by Government Met Department told people to just stay home and took precautious measures – told us what to do or buy and what not to do. The whole cyclone things were really terrible;

Alhamdulillah the place we are staying was not badly affected. Our house was turned into a Bilik Gerakan where we invited our friends to gather. The aftermaths were beyond explanation, I feel sorry, the government is rendering aids in all forms to minimize the pain. Schools are still closed but most shops and stores are back to business as usual.

Alhamdulillah...semuanya selamat.... Sun 10-Jun-2007 17:41

Ghubra Lake Club

Nazri, Zahrul and Aiman
We never knew there was a public lake club, just minutes drive from our house, not until Nazri told us about it. So we took the kids there. The place wasn’t bad, a green area surrounding a small lake with jogging path around it. At least, this is another place to be on weekends…

Nabila's new class next term

Next fall, Nabila will be going into Reception (from Nursery). Last weekend, the school held a short briefing for parents who are registering their kids for Reception. We went and have a look at Nabila new class and I am sure Nabila will enjoy going to reception next term - impressive class set up and she get to wear a different school uniform!

An Update

We moved into a new house, this time a landed house with a compound area for the kids to play (and a much bigger kitchen for me to call it a “real kitchen”

It seems everybody is enjoying the new place better the last one, kids with their compound, Deea with her bigger room and own bathroom, hubby with his smoking and lepaking area and I with my kitchen and all.

Lawanya rumah baru.....tak sempat nak merasa.....nanti kalau ada rezeki nak pegi Oman lagi...bleh merasa duduk rumah atas tanah plak kat Muscat.... Sun 3-Jun-2007 11:22

Alhamdulillah, our journey went very well. We spent 4 days in Makkah before leaving for Madina. It was a wonderful journey, and I am sure I will definitely be there again soon.

The kids have started schooling today, and here I am, longing to be there again…..

2007 Family Day

Dea and Aina
View all 6 photos...
This year Family Day was held at Al Sawadi Beach Resort, some 30 km from Muscat. The event was perfect - the resort was beautiful, the weather was great and the timing was just right - it was a long weekend (an extra day for Awal Muharram). The kids had great fun.

At the end of the event, there was a Raffle Draw, and as usual, we were never lucky . Others were getting home theater, TV, VCD and free trip and the like, we got one lousy kettle. Last year, we got a cheap shopping voucher at local shopping center.

Bestnyer family day... Sun 21-Jan-2007 06:52

Beca-ride in Malacca

Took the kids out for a Beca-ride while in Malacca. I had always been a bit concern to take a beca ride in Malacca..with smalls road and the crazy traffics…it’d be just too risky.

Not until then, that I realize it would be a let-down if you have not tried it. It was so much fun and indeed safe. The bright and colorful decoration made on the beca serve not only as an attraction but also as a safety device to alert ongoing traffics .

wahhhhh bestnyer ni gi melaka

Kak Long

When we celebrated dea and nabila birthday in Oman, Hakeem was a bit upset (I could tell), he didn’t understand why there was no cake for him and only his sisters got to blow the candles and got all the presents. Whining for us to get him a Spiderman cake after seeing the Cinderella and Barbie cakes we bought for dea and nabila. He really wanted a Spiderman cake.

So this time was his turn .

Back to Oman

Finally, a family photo, taken recently.
We had been planning for this for years….

Back to Oman a couple of days ago, and the kids have started schooling, including our little Hakeem. Will post more pictures of Hakeem's first day at school later.
