Mutrah Souq

View all 6 photos...
Mutrah is an old traditional souq where you can find lots of souveniors from Oman. Some are really unique that I plan to get them later, may be I'll go again and spend a little bit longer there when the weather is cooler. Actually, it took us almost a year to be at this part of Oman, not that we don't know the place but nature says it is better to shop at air-conditioned MCC or Qurum. The souq is so huge and going from shop to shop is through a tiny lorong where newcomers can get lost easily. Luckily there were not too many people during this time, so we managed to cover almost every inch of the place (we didn’t go to the Gold souq though as the heat was getting to us!!).
Hubby didn't take photos - obviously he ran out of hands - balancing between plastic bags and dukung Hakeem. Anyway, we stopped and rest at an area between Mutrah and Old Muscat.

Thursday morning at Starbuck, Madinat Al-Sultan Qaboos. I'd say, nothing compare to weekend breakfast of Nasi Lemak and Roti Boom at Alor Setar warong...

2005 Summer holiday

Party Time...
Got this photo from Year 5H Class link - "persatuan mak-mak Year 5H". Picture of Nadira last day at school for this term. Summer holiday is 2 and half month-long - wow thats a bit waaayyy too long wud you say... For some reasons, they call the last day at school a "Mufti Day" where kids come to school to party (no alas-meja-like school uniform) ).
Nadira is in Malaysia now, we all miss her already..

Hubby spent time with Nurul and Adik Iman while in KL recently. Picked-up the kids from school and as usual headed straight to KLCC.

I'm counting days here...

We'll be in Malaysia in a month time for the whole month of August... yes, that's 31 days (I heard August is the hottest month of the year here, so I am glad spending our time in Malaysia). Deea will leave us earlier though - spending extra time with her datuk and wan. Hubby will send her this week. We will miss her, and I am sure little sis Nabila will miss her the most. They're both very very close (for one reason, there is no other friends around) - do all kinda silly things at home - from playing PC and Barbie to putting up a small camp dalam bilik (from selimut dan cadar). Deea yg suka berangan dan bergaya sejak kecil dah turunkan bakat dia pada little sis - so you'll see Nabila, (with Deea being the make up artist) getting all dress up with all kinda clips and pins on her hair and comes to us.....look mommy....nice???

3 kms a day keeps the doctor away....

3 km a day..
Malaysian SMI Exhibition
View all 4 photos...
Hubby goes to the gym 5 times a week, and for myself I am doing 2-3 kms a day at home, 6 days a week (with nabila and hakeem being the loyal spectators). I got hook-up to this good habit after seeing hubby being so loyal to his gym regime. It feels great that I would not want to miss a day without it.
Last weekend, we went to Malaysian SMI Exhibition held here in Oman. There were about 30 booths or so, the tourism booth seemed to attract the most Omanis.

Deea's School Dance Nite..

First dance..
this is Nabila's favaorite - kung fu fight!!

Last week, we went to Deea's school dance night. I am glad that we attended this time as we never turn up for any Deea's school function (school play, halloween etc etc) before this for two obvious reasons (ie. Nabila and Hakeem). Fortunately, both Nabila and Hakeem were OK (actually Hakeem was sleeping through-out the show and Nabila was enjoying the show). The function was well organized and Deea seemed to have a jolly good time dancing around...

D'Arcy Restaurant at Qurum

In front of our apartment

Our weekend activity is pretty much routine. The last weekday (Wednesday), we'd normally do our grocery. Thursday morning, we'll have our breakfast at either Starbuck or Mocha Cafe, lunch at home and later, off we go to MCC or Qurum, until late. And Friday, we will be all day at home, and later in the evening, we would be driving around for places for minum petang. Last Friday, we were at D'Arcy restaurant, pekena burger and snacks.

We were almost everywhere, from one end to another. Transportation system in London is second to nothing . Glad that the kids were behaving themselve throughout this short trip. And thanks to dear hubby for joining the "walkathon" with me without much complaint... muah...muah.

Last week, we took a trip to London, spent like 5 days there. The weather was superb and the kids were having a good time there - imagine, from a 40 to 50 celcius to a beautiful spring in london. For sweet hubby, the trip served a good break from busy work . And for me, Oxford Street is "theee" place .
