Eid this year was much better. Firstly, we have fellow malaysian family celebrating with us, secondly, we actually went for jalan jalan raya and thirdly, we had plan for the second raya - we went for a desert camping.
For a reason, the embassy didnt do an open house this year, so we didnt get a chance to meet up with other malaysians, but we went raya to the embassy official house, foods were great there!

Iftar at colleague house

exotic foods...and we enjoyed them very much. One of hubby colleague, Mohammed invited us for an iftar...just what I've always hope, I just wanna have a feel of a real omani dishes. It was great, I can't believe the foods were only for the small group of us... it was just too much. Tomorrow, I am inviting Ismail and Haji for an iftar..

More are joining us here..

Great...two malaysians are coming next week joining us, one with a family and another coming alone (leaving missus and kids back home). Really looking forward to this. Both are hubby coleague from previous employer. Now, I am going back to civilisation, ie. socialise in a community  ...There are actually some 30 odd malaysian families here in Muscat, but majority are working in a same company, and I believe they must be close among themselves or may be they are living in a small little community somewhere (remind me of a student days) and for some reasons I don't bump into them often, except at last year hari raya gathering at emabassy.
Well...we'll see..

Moon sighting will be on Monday but they are saying first Ramadhan will most likely be on Wednesday. It'll be our fourth Ramadhan and Eid away from home, I am getting use to it by now. Though I miss the suasana pasar Ramdhan in KL, its nothin less fun here, especially at night. The place that seems like a Ghost Town during the day will turn into a Mega Fiesta at night. You'll see people wonders around, kids out and shopping centers extending their operating hours until late.

back to school..

Nadira is back to school after two and half months of honeymooning. She was actually excited and was looking forward to it - meeting friends and teachers. I am also sending her to Quran Reading and Islamic school twice a week. And for little Nabila, I enrolled her in kindergarten/nursery school this term - to let her mix around and communicate with the rest of kids of her age. Good nursery with qualified teachers - recommended by the British school official. Her first day was like   "whow...you can imagine", but she settled quite ok. Now... I am a real busy mom...

Baby Mysara...

My youngest niece, baby Mysarah (Liza's daughter) just had an operation (shunt operation) last week. We are so sad beyond words of what've happened - she is barely 6 month old. We all pray to Allah for Mysarah to be back to her normal self.

I am homesick...

Our vacation went very well, though I missed few things that I planned to do while we were in KL (for obvious reason...too busy shopping  . In Melaka, wan and atok and rest of bros and sis were there with their askar askar, amazing how fast kids grow. And at Alor Setar, my bros, Paul and Amir made it there, with their wifes and kids. Hatyai trip was fun, mak and Liza, hubby and baby Mysara from Melaka joined us as well. Hubby sempat jugak for a round of Golf with Ayah, Uncle Mat and Pie.

Off we go next week, for a good one month vacation. I am so excited. We'll be spending most of our time in Melaka and Alor Setar. We'll be in KL for a short stay though, try to catch up with old buddy- Reza, Ida and Ema. Hubby will try to catch up with few of his friends too...ada lah activity dia orang tu..
